Accounting Technology

The Accounting Technology program includes a basic core of courses designed to prepare a student for a variety of entry-level positions through selections of a concentration of 60 semester credit hours.  Students who successfully complete 30 semester hours as outlined in the program of study may be awarded a career certificate.  

A career technical program is also offered for students who successfully complete 45 semester hours. Students who successfully complete 60 semester hours as outlined in the program of study may be awarded an Associate of  Applied Science degree.

Career Opportunities -
The Accounting Technology program is designed to prepare students for entry-level accounting positions in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and inventory as well as enhance the skills of person currently employed in accounting who wish to advance.  Upon successful completion, students should be prepared for accounting positions inbusienss and industry, governmental agencies, and public accounting firms.
