Prospective Students
We are delighted that you are considering East Mississippi Community College for your
post-secondary education. To help you navigate the admissions and enrollment process,
we have created the following Admissions Checklist and helpful hints. If you need
additional assistance, please don't hesitate to call Lion Central at 662.243.1920.
We are here to guide you through this process and assist any way we can.
1. Complete the electronic APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION.
- High school students who are currently attending EMCC as a dual enrollment students
must complete a new application if they intend to go to EMCC full-time upon high school
graduation.
Submit official school transcripts.
- EMCC encourages the use of electronic transcript exchange. Prospective students should
check with their high school or previous college(s) to see if they participate in
an electronic transcript exchange program. Hardcopy transcripts may be mailed to the
Office of Admissions at either campus location. See below for mailing addresses for
each campus.
- Incoming high school students must request an official transcript from their high
school indicating graduation date and GPA.
- GED completers must indicate GED on their Application for Admission. If the GED (or
high school equivalency) was taken outside the state of MS, official scores should
be sent directly from the out-of-state GED office.

- A valid ACT score report can be sent to the Scooba Campus using code 2194 when you
take the exam. Use code 2196 for the Golden Triangle campus. Prospective students
who have already taken the ACT can obtain their ACT score reports at www.act.org.

Once a prospective student has completed the EMCC Application for Admission and submitted
an official transcript, he or she will receive notification of admission into EMCC.
