Launch Pad

The Launch Pad is available for individuals who have less than a high school diploma or lack the basic skills necessary for educational advancement and careers. Adult Education instruction offers the opportunity to prepare for high school equivalency, college entrance, career-technical education, and employment. The Launch Pad offers FREE classes with  no cost for books or other materials. Students advance at their own pace using varied methods of instruction. Traditional face-to-face instruction is offered and combined with hybrid instruction to align with distance learning. 

Enrollment includes course pre-registration and orientation including a pre-assessment in reading, math, and language, as well as an intensive counseling session for class placement. 

Interested participants must be residents of Mississippi, at least 16 years old, and not currently enrolled in secondary school. Proof of age and withdrawal from high school is REQUIRED for anyone under the age of 18.

• Preparation for National Career Readiness Certificate ACT-WorkKeys  

• Preparation to increase basic skills in reading, math, and language  

• High School Equivalency preparation  

• Preparation for higher scores on college or workforce training entry exams  
• GED and HISET testing
