High School Equivalency Testing

East Mississippi Community College offers high school equivalency (HSE) testing at its Golden Triangle, Columbus, West Point, and Scooba campuses.
Candidates for testing must be:1) U.S. residents with non-expired ID; 2) at least 18 years old; 16- and 17-year-olds can test with proof of withdrawal from the last high school attended; and 3) not enrolled in public secondary school; proof of withdrawal may be required.

Pre-registration is required before testing. Visit www.ged.com or www.hiset.org, create an account, register for a testing location, and choose a test. You will also need to pay the testing fee online. The fee is $36 per subject for the GED and $24 per subject for the HiSET. After you take the test, you can check your scores at this website.

When you've completed your GED or HiSET test, please refer back to your account under the "notifications" tab, follow the instructions to obtain your official GED transcript and diploma. You can also visit www.diplomasender.com to create an account to obtain your diploma or contact DiplomaSender at 855.876.3774.

Contact an EMCC GED examiner for information on testing of 16- and 17-year-olds and for requesting testing with special accommodations.
