East Mississippi Community College requires all students to complete an online application.
Students are required to provide information as to previous education, and test scores
are required in most cases. Choose from the list below, and select the kind of application
you will need to complete:
- Request official transcripts from the high school or last college you attended. EMCC
encourages electronic transcript exchange. Check with your school to see if they
participate in an electronic transcript service, such as eScrip – Safe, Parchment
or National Clearinghouse. Otherwise, your transcript can be mailed to one of our
campus locations listed below.
If you plan to attend the Residential Campus in Scooba, then have your transcripts
sent to this address:
East Mississippi Community College
Office of Admissions | P.O. Box 158 Scooba, MS 39358 | 662.476.8442
If you plan to attend Golden Triangle, Communiversity, West Point Extension, or Lions
Hills then have your transcripts sent to this address:
East Mississippi Community College
Office of Admissions | P.O. Box 100 Mayhew, MS 39753 | 662.243.1900
- If you hand-deliver your transcripts, they must be in a sealed envelope.
If you’re not a high school graduate, you don’t have official transcripts. But that’s
OK. You can take the GED test through EMCC Adult Basic Education. A passing GED score
can be used to substitute for this requirement.
- Transfer students must submit transcripts from all previous colleges attended in order
to receive financial aid. (If you're planning to take a course or program that has
an ACT prerequisite, you will need to make sure you’ve sent your ACT or SAT scores to us. They are usually not included on college transcripts.)

EMCC has waived the entrance exam requirement for admissions. Please note that an
ACT score is still needed for ACT scholarships. An ACT or Accuplacer score is also
needed for placement in academic courses.
EMCC needs your score on one of two entrance exams used to help with placement and scholarships:
-
You can take the ACT through the counseling office at EMCC if you haven't taken the test on one of the
national test days. We exclusively provide the ACT to new students at EMCC.
-
Instead of retaking the ACT, students who are dissatisfied with their results might choose to take the ACCUPLACER.
-
The ACCUPLACER can replace the ACT. The ACCUPLACER exam is available through EMCC's Counseling Office, just like the ACT.
This link to EMCC’s
Financial Aid Office includes information on how to apply for Federal aid (Pell Grant and Direct Student
Loans), State aid (MTAG, MESG, and HELP), and EMCC scholarships.
-
At a minimum, students arriving at EMCC to register should have already completed
the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form online. First, get an FSA ID number;
then fill out the application.
-
Residents of EMCC’s six-county district who graduated in the most recent past semester
from an accredited public, private or home school may also qualify for EMCC’s Tuition
Guarantee program.

Here's a listing of tuition and fees.
