MCCB/CJC Accountability and Transparency

MCCB/CJC Accountability and TransparencyThe Mississippi Community College Board and the 15 community and junior colleges that make up the community college system are committed to accountability and transparency in government finances.

During the 2011 legislative session, the Mississippi Legislature passed and Gov. Haley Barbour signed S.B. 2554, which called for the Mississippi Community College Board to create a website that provides access to existing financial reports, financial audits, budgets and other financial documents that are used to allocate, appropriate, spend, and account for appropriated funds.

As a result of this legislation, a website was created which contains useful financial information for the Mississippi Community College Board and each of the state's community and junior colleges.
