East Mississippi Community College is proud to offer an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Networking Technology on our Golden Triangle Campus. This program is a certified Cisco Networking Academy program as well as an approved CompTIA Academy. New students can begin this course of study in either the Fall or Spring semester. Coursework focuses on the principles of designing, building, and maintaining networks. Specific areas of study include evaluating protocols, operating systems, hardware components, networking devices, and software tools to make a network run efficiently. 

Career Opportunities -
The Computer Networking Technology program prepares students for entry-level employment in an ever-evolving field of technology. Information Technology changes rapidly and requires students to be life-long learners with the ability to incorporate ever-changing technologies into their skill set. The need for well-trained IT personnel is present in every industry from healthcare to manufacturing.
