MELO (Mississippi Electronic Libraries Online) is a virtual library created to meet academic resource needs within the Mississippi community and junior college system.

MAGNOLIA* (Mississippi Alliance for Gaining New Opportunities through Library Information Access) is a statewide project that provides access to over 4,000 full-text journals and other reference databases. The Mississippi Legislature has appropriated funds for the purchase of databases on behalf of the publicly funded libraries across the state since 1997. Some MAGNOLIA databases may require passwords if the IP address is not recognized. When this happens contact the EMCC Librarian nearest you.

*Note: Off campus students will be prompted for a location ID number. Please contact your EMCC library. The service is free of charge to any resident of Mississippi.

  • Residence Halls  ( 5 items )

East Mississippi Community College is committed to providing superior housing facilities for all students on the Scooba Campus. Within the last three years the college has completely renovated two men's residence halls, constructed a new men's residence hall, renovated portions of the women's residence hall, and is currently constructing two new additions to the women's residence hall. EMCC is dedicated to providing comfortable student accommodations that are conducive to a learning environment.

How can I get a dorm room?
Rooms may be reserved by completing a housing application and paying a $50 room deposit. Rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Required housing fees include room fees of $500 per semester and board costs of $700 per semester. Fee payment arrangements may be made with administrative approval. For more information about residence halls email Kate Neely.

Students having overdue accounts must pay their balance before registering for another semester.

Students not having overdue accounts can pay their fees in full at registration, or fee payments can be made with certain MINIMUM down payments, described below. Students not prepared to make minimum payments must obtain administrative credit approval to complete registration.
