Welcome to EMCC's Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) "Problem Solving Through Teamwork"! The Goals of the QEP are: 1. To improve teaching 2. To improve student learning Students will be engaged in problem solving teamwork activities through classroom exercises, fun campus engagement activities and more! Students will depart EMCC with improved problem solving and teamwork skills! There are QEP engagement activities scheduled each semester at the GT and Scooba campus. These activities engage the student in fun problem solving teamwork activities (contests, scavenger hunts, team building etc.) and winners may be awarded prizes. Information about QEP Engagement activities is posted below for each campus. As part of the QEP, student graduates and students enrolled in LLS 1311 Freshman Orientation complete the WorkKeys assessment. Students scoring at bronze (level 3) on assigned topics will also earn a Career Readiness Certificate (CRC). This certificate is awarded by the State of Mississippi. The CRC certifies that the student has core employability skills required accross multiple indistries and occupations. It is a portable credential that confirms to employers that the student posseses basic workplace skills. This credential should be included as part of the student's resume. |
