CONGRATULATIONS, CLASS OF 2009!
East Mississippi Community College graduates are ready to move forward. The Golden Triangle campus hosted two graduation ceremonies May 8, one at 2 p.m. for career-technical and vocational students and one at 6 p.m. for academic students. Students from the Columbus Air Force Base branch participated in these ceremonies. SCOOBA RETIREMENT RECEPTION Retiring faculty and staff members from East Mississippi Community College’s Scooba campus were honored Monday, May 11, during a reception at Aust Hall. Pictured, first row from left, are: retiree Ruth Handy of Scooba, maintenance, who has worked at EMCC since 1977; retiree Mary “Miss M” Smith of DeKalb, special populations instructor, who has worked for EMCC since 1993; retiree Rachel Ezelle of Noxapater, accounting instructor, who has worked for EMCC since 1972; retiree Linda Bouler of Dalewood, mathematics instructor, who has worked at EMCC since 2002; and Dr. Jackie Stennis, vice president of EMCC’s Scooba campus. In the second row are: Dr. Steve Vacik, EMCC vice president of instruction; EMCC President Dr. Rick Young; Bertha Nave, who attended the reception on behalf of her son, who was unable to attend, retiree Ed Nave of Scooba, career-technical counselor, who has worked at EMCC since 1977; and Mickey Stokes, vice president of athletics and operations at the Scooba campus. |
