“BULL CYCLONE AND THE LIONS

OF SCOOBA, MISSISSIPPI”

Mike Frascogna, author of “Gridiron Gold” and “Y’all vs. Us,” is writing a book about the life of Coach Bob “Bull” “Cyclone” Sullivan. The author said the idea came to him while he was researching “Gridiron Gold,” which focuses on high school football. “Even though the book wasn’t going to be about junior college football, I kept hearing about ‘Bull’ Sullivan,” Frascogna said. “It seems like everyone had a ‘Bull’ Sullivan story, and
I became more and more interested in writing about him.”

Frasgcogna has conducted more than 100 interviews with Lion alumni who played for this EMCC coaching legend of the 1950s and 60s, and donated a copy of the transcripts to East Mississippi Community College earlier this year. The book is expected to be published in fall 2009 or spring 2010 – and now is the time to reserve your copy at a reduced price, just $18.
