Prospective Students

Please complete the following steps for admission to the college:



2. Submit transcripts. 

  • Incoming high school students must request an official transcript from your high school indicating   graduation date, GPA, Official signature and school seal.
  • GED completers must indicate GED on the Application. If the GED (or high school equivalency) was taken outside the state of MS, official scores should be sent directly from the out-of-state GED office.
  • Incoming college transfers must request official transcripts from all colleges attended to be sent to the registrars office. If you have attended EMCC before, we need official transcripts from any colleges or universities attended since your last attendance at EMCC.  
  • Dual enrolled students who took classes from a college or university other than EMCC must request both high school and college official transcripts be sent to the registrars office.


3. Submit ACT scores.

ACT scores are required for all applicants under 21.  Career Technical students may require additional testing.  To schedule CT testing call 662-243-1959.  Students may sign up to take the ACT Residual for the Scooba campus at 662-476-5048 and the Golden Triangle campus at 662-243-1903.  If you are 21 or older, set up accuplacer as a replacement test for the ACT.  If the ACT has been taken previously, but scores have not yet been sent to EMCC, scores can be obtained at

5. Apply for financial aid:

  • Visit Lion Central on either the Scooba or Golden Triangle campus.  The telephone numbers are 662.476.5079 (Scooba) and 662.243.1920 (Golden Triangle)

6.  Visit the Business Office:

  • Find out if you have enough financial aid to cover your charges for the semester.
  • You must meet the minimum down payment requirement and sign a fee payment agreement if necessary before you can get a student ID.
  •  You may also purchase a parking decal and make meal plan selections in the Business Office.

7. Visit your campus bookstore.  You may also purchase your books online at

    • You must have EMCC Student ID and a copy of your schedule to purchase books.
    • If you need a book for an online class, you must have your student profile. (You may view and print your schedule and profile by visiting your LEO account)

8. If attending the Scooba campus do you need a Dorm Room?
